FILESOFT ACADEMY — COURSE 3, LESSON 1
Created by Plato · Filesoft
Add clear navigation

FileMaker Pro 26 on macOS. FileMaker Pro is sold separately.
This is an editable local learning example, not a deployed multi-user app.

Example: adds Contacts, Tasks and Report navigation on Contact Actions and Follow-up Overview. Six scripts are in Navigation UI/Controller folders and excluded from the Scripts menu.

Unzip and work in a copy. In the layout selector choose Contact Actions and
View > View as Form. Choose Follow-up Overview and View > View as List.
On Follow-up Report, Back to Tasks returns to the overview in Browse mode.

The navigation scripts require Browse mode and a valid committed entry.
They do not change the found set, sort, create tasks or select a task’s parent.
The report has a Back to Tasks button in a Top Navigation part. It does not
appear in Preview or printed/PDF output. Click Exit Preview, then Back to Tasks.
Use Follow-up Report for PDF.
Make the window tall enough to see the navigation and existing task controls.

Read the lesson and perform its checks in a practice copy. Prior fictional
contacts, notes and tasks are preserved; do not replace IDs or reset data.
Save and close the file before making filesystem backups.
